Nestled on the shimmering coastline of Al Hayat Island, the new five-star IHG Hotels & Resorts collection brings transcontinental life to the Arabian Peninsula by combining the quintessential island lifestyle with authentic Arabian hospitality. The resort’s design is inspired by the emirate’s three indigenous tribes, desert, mountain and sea, and is home to 351 rooms, suites, and villas with a private pool overlooking the sea, as well as six restaurants.

From classic sea view rooms to family villas, all rooms overlook the sea, with discreet private balconies and terraces offering airy views of blue tones. The Pool Villas are a luxurious retreat, each equipped with their own private pool, while the larger villas of 150 square meters offer a luxurious sleeping, living, dining and pool experience in an environment where decor, furnishings and the latest technology create a relaxing environment for travelers and the experience of a home away from home. The Presidential Suite is the largest of all rooms, providing instant access to the gushing water right outside the door in a 200-square-meter suite that perfectly captures the island’s aesthetic in the larger resort.

A destination for foodies in its own right, the resort also boasts six new culinary outlets, and offers a variety of venues each with a unique story. From Levant & Nar, which serves up Levant-influenced delicacies with a modern twist, to NoHo, a trendy New York street-inspired hangout, there’s something to suit everyone.

Whether you choose to spend hours on the white sand beach overlooking the Royal Arabian Gulf, or spend warm sunny days by the infinity-edge pool, a variety of water sports are available alongside the program’s curated activities. Which includes the facilities of Planet Trekkers and Teens Club. Planet Trekkers offers a structured program to actively engage children and improve their worldview.

Featuring the latest equipment, the resort’s health club is the perfect place to work out, with a separate fitness studio, outdoor tennis court and saunas for post-workout relaxation. The InterContinental Spa, set to open in April, will offer a wide range of anti-aging and wellness treatments, as well as modern treatments to de-stress and revive the senses, including a traditional Turkish bath.
